The 8-epi-PGF2 alpha (8-epi-Prostaglandin F2 alpha) ELISA Kit is specially designed for the precise measurement of 8-epi-PGF2 alpha levels in various biological samples including serum, plasma, and urine. This kit offers high sensitivity and specificity, ensuring reliable and reproducible results for researchers working in the fields of oxidative stress, inflammation, and lipid peroxidation.8-epi-PGF2 alpha is a biomarker of oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation, playing a crucial role in the pathogenesis of various diseases such as cardiovascular disorders, asthma, and chronic kidney disease. By accurately quantifying 8-epi-PGF2 alpha levels, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify new therapeutic targets.Overall, the 8-epi-PGF2 alpha ELISA Kit is an essential tool for studying oxidative stress-related diseases and developing novel treatment strategies to improve patient outcomes.
This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with the target antigen. Standards or samples are added along with a biotinylated detection antibody. The target antigen present in the sample competes with the immobilized antigen for binding to the detection antibody. After incubation, Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is then added, resulting in a color change. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the concentration of the target antigen in the sample. The reaction is stopped by the addition of stop solution, and the color changes from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of the target protein is calculated by comparing the OD values of the samples to the standard curve.
