Introducing the Anti-Mouse IL-4 In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin from Assay Genie, a highly specific monoclonal antibody designed for in vivo applications. This antibody targets the interleukin-4 (IL-4) protein, which is critical in the regulation of immune responses, making it ideal for research in immunology and related fields. With a rat IgG1 isotype, it ensures high purity and low endotoxin levels (<1.0 EU/mg), perfect for ELISA, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and other assays. Available in various sizes, it is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline for stability and efficacy.
Enhance your research with this reliable and versatile antibody. IL-4 is a cytokine that plays a key role in regulating humoral and adaptive immunity by promoting the differentiation of naive helper T cells to Th2 cells. It is involved in stimulating activated B-cell and T-cell proliferation and differentiation, as well as the production of antibodies. The Anti-Mouse IL-4 antibody is essential for studies focusing on the immune system functions, mechanisms of allergy, and immune regulation.
This monoclonal antibody is aseptically packaged and formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (150 mM NaCl) PBS pH 7.2 - 7.4 with no carrier protein, potassium, calcium or preservatives added. Due to inherent biochemical properties of antibodies, certain products may be prone to precipitation over time. Precipitation may be removed by aseptic centrifugation and/or filtration.
Endotoxin Level:
< 1.0 EU/mg as determined by the LAL method
Purity:
≥95% monomer by analytical SEC ⋅ >95% by SDS Page
Product Preparation:
Functional grade preclinical antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using in vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.

IL-4 is a 15-19 kD pleiotropic immune cytokine secreted by activated TH2 cells. It has many biological roles, including the regulation in humoral and adaptive immunity, the inhibition of bone resorption, the stimulation of activated B-cell and T-cell proliferation, and initiation of allergic responses. Moreover, IL-4 induces a positive feedback loop by stimulating differentiation of naive helper T cells, or Th0 cells, to Th2 cells which in turn secrete more IL-4. Increased IL-4 production and overproduction of IL-4R are found in many cancers. IL-4 has a significant effect on tumor progression by increasing apoptosis resistance via tumor growth enhancement. IL-4 may also play a part in the immune dysregulation that occurs in most HIV-1 infected patients.
