The Anti-MEPE Antibody (CAB9559) is a crucial tool for researchers studying the role of MEPE in bone and mineral metabolism. This rabbit polyclonal antibody is highly specific to human MEPE and is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence applications. By targeting the MEPE protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in osteogenesis and skeletal development.MEPE, also known as matrix extracellular phosphoglycoprotein, is a key player in regulating mineralization and phosphate homeostasis in the bones.
Its intricate role in bone formation and mineralization makes it a promising target for research in osteoporosis, skeletal disorders, and mineral metabolism diseases. Understanding the function of MEPE is vital for developing therapeutic interventions that target bone health and mineral balance. The Anti-MEPE Antibody (CAB9559) provides researchers with a reliable and specific tool to investigate the function and regulation of MEPE, advancing our understanding of bone physiology and potential treatment strategies for bone-related disorders.
Product Name:
MEPE Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB9559
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 90-256 of human MEPE (NP_064588.1).
This gene encodes a secreted calcium-binding phosphoprotein that belongs to the small integrin-binding ligand, N-linked glycoprotein (SIBLING) family of proteins. Members of this family are components of the extracellular matrix of bone and dentin and regulate bone mineralization. Deficiency of a similar protein in mouse results in increased bone mass. Mice lacking this gene are resistant to aging-related trabecular bone loss. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
